Commitment to Social Justice
LACLAS sees as one of its driving forces its commitment to the fundamental principles of social justice and the fostering of an environment of tolerance, understanding, opportunity, and belonging. We fulfill this commitment by:
  • Opening spaces for distinct voices and generative dialogues.
  • Advocating for responsible global citizenship.
  • Establishing relationships with other like-minded departments and programs across 校园内外.

The Latin American, Caribbean, & Latinx Studies program at 火博体育大学, in conjunction with other programs on campus and many academic institutions across the nation, reaffirms its commitment to the fundamental principles of social justice. 给定电流 political climate and the real threat to the safety and well-being of immigrants and their families, we are pleased that President Philip A. Glotzbach signed the statement in support of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). See the petition here: http://www.pomona.edu/support-daca.
